Synopsis

The project/performance is conceived as a solo of contemporary dance and theater expression, staged on a theater stage where part of the audience is also present.

Part of the stage design is also made up of video projections conceived as a counterpoint: pornography and mass media on the one hand, the individual on the other, while the costume design consists of authentic elements characteristic of female sexuality, derived from the bizarre and fetishism, as well as the creation of costumes free from any sexual connotation.

The concept of this project/performance is confrontation, questioning and questioning. Starting from the phenomenon of female sexuality and its, to a large extent, assigned, acquired and largely accepted form, most specifically from the moment of the emergence of the bizarre and fetishism, concluding with today's sexual/erotic hyperexposure for commercial and/or political purposes, the question arises of what female sexuality is. The fact is that women are constantly reexamining the form of their own sexuality in the difficult task of finding the ideal one, submitting, or not, to male fantasy. Why did women accept such a "role" and to what extent is their sexuality realized, or not realized, through the accepted form? Is the basic task of women, from a sociological perspective, to satisfy? How many men and women have the same understanding of sexuality? Are they, in today's society, still ready and capable of acceptance and understanding? How closely is the issue of power connected to sexuality, and to the relationship between men and women? Are sex in the mass media and pornography, not legalized or controlled from a social perspective, just tools for achieving mass relief through virtual exercise?

Due to the increasing alienation and loneliness, fear of potential emotional suffering and pain, or fear of AIDS, the individual avoids the possibility but does not lose the desire to communicate sexually. At the same time, sexuality is increasingly present in the media and aggressiveness, while the Internet provides comfort in a virtual form, compensation for a real event. Stimulation grows, satisfaction in a natural way is suppressed. Having suffered enormous influences from the macro to the micro level, sexuality experiences changes, deviations and deformations. Overexposure shifts the threshold of stimulation, creates the illusion that everything is available, and communication through sex itself becomes increasingly problematic.

The production was supported by the Orchestra Ballet Studio and CEMPI.
