In this work, which Dušan Murić has been developing for several years, songs and messages are brought together that will be presented in public space—on the street—through the artist’s reduced, anti-virtuosic vocal performance.
“Over the years of working in art, within plays and performances, little songs, verses, and slogans emerged. Then, a few years ago, I started writing and singing for no particular reason, although, of course, I was always imagining what all of it could become. Last summer I released the album ‘A Cappella Punk – Well, You See What…’ on YouTube, and this spring ‘A Cappella Punk / Laibach with the Morava – Aftershane / Public-Political Ode.’”
As part of the Kondenz program, a concert-performance was presented, consisting of singing, dancing, and vignettes, all accompanied by ad hoc music-video recording, accomplices, and guests.
