Sofa jamming are open dance improvisations which feature both dancers and musicians of different profiles which are intended to take dance out of a firm framework of performance into a wider social context, therefore treating dance as a means of free speech and public expression. Very often it appears as an integral part of another, non-art initiative which it intends to support.
