"Today is April 6th. The title of the first performance by the group Vzhodni plesni projekt. It is also the date of the Third Reich’s attack on Yugoslavia. The premiere took place on April 8, 1988, at Španski borci in Ljubljana, because the date of April 6 was already taken by a concert by Acija Bertonclj. The program and poster were designed by Uroš Lobnik, who was still an architecture student at the time. The photograph was taken by a friend—now unknown—of one of the students from Prekmurje at the time, who was living at the Academic College. It was there that Iztok Zrinski came up with the idea for the set design. He, too, was an architecture student at the time. The costumes were designed by Katja Čelić, then a fashion designer at Mura. The dancers in the performance were: Jasna Knez, Lucija Grm, Ingrid Kerec, Darko Vrebac, Helena Knific, Nataša Kos Križmančič, Nina Mavec Krenker, Alenka Lazar/Maruša Oblak, and myself.”
