The DDT creative centre for movement, formed by dancers Dubravka Subotić, Dragana Stojisavljević and Tijana Malek, in the city Pančevo, was an influential dance company in Serbia, particularly active since the early 2000s. DDT became known for its innovative approach to dance and performance, blending contemporary dance with elements of physical theater, performance art, choreography with improvisation, sound design and multimedia. The group was particularly noted for pushing the boundaries of traditional dance in Serbia, exploring themes of identity, freedom, and resistance in their work, reflecting the broader cultural and political upheavals in the region. One of their most famous works “Lunch for two” - created during one workshop in 2004 and developed through the miniature into a full length performance - toured across Europe. One of DDT's most significant contributions was also fostering a new generation of dancers and choreographers in the region, influencing the development of contemporary dance in Serbia and the former Yugoslavia.
