“Echo of the Baron” is a dance performance exploring the psychological manipulation of individuals in contemporary society, through the themes of Münchausen syndrome and its modern manifestations. These psychological states, in which individuals deliberately fabricate illness or distress to gain attention, mirror how modern society pressures people to create distorted versions of themselves, especially in the digital realm. The concept connects with Kocho Racin’s “White Dawns”, a poetry collection depicting the struggle of the working class against economic exploitation. The project draws parallels between the historical exploitation of the physical body and the modern manipulation of the mind through digital media.
