A pioneering contemporary dance artist, choreographer, and pedagogue, Mirjana Dragana Janeček (1902-1977) held one of Zagreb's first solo dance concerts at the Croatian Music Institute on May 29, 1923, where she presented her artistic interpretations of themes: childhood, love, motherhood, life’s struggles, storm and resignation, and death.
