We come spinning out of nothingness, sprinkling the stars,
the stars make a circle, and in its center we dance.
Rumi
Sanja Krsmanović Tasić tells the story of her 25 years of spinning on stage through an essay in motion, connecting and intertwining artistic, philosophical, spiritual, anthropological and other aspects of this skill.
Footnotes, an integral part of each essay, are chosen by the audience, thus determining the content of the play, because not all footnotes will have the opportunity to be discovered during the limited time of the essay-play. Footnotes are thematically divided into poetic, theoretical, historically contextual and politically activist.
This is the author's fifth theater essay after the plays "Bread and Blood Stories", "O s(a)vesti", "Sisters in Arms" (New Zealand/Serbia) and "Smiljana Mandukić-essay in motion".
The play uses texts by Darko Suvin, Oktavi Paz, Dželaludin Rumija and Sanja Krsmanović Tasić.
