KATARINA STOKOV-SLIJEPČEVIĆ, dancer, choreographer, pedagogue, professor of English, and translator - graduated in English language and literature at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. She graduated from the City Ballet School in the modern ballet class of Smiljana Mandukić and Jelica Golubović, and studied classical ballet privately with pedagogues Danica Živanović and Ana Marija Jovanović. She was actively engaged in modern ballet as a prominent soloist of Smiljane Mandukić's Contemporary Belgrade Ballet, in which she created a number of notable creations, characterized by refinement in dance lines and distinct lyricism. She trained in Boston /USA/ where she attended Martha Graham's contemporary dance classes /at Harvard/ for a year. After returning to Belgrade, she founded her dance group (Experimental Ballet Troupe) in 1974, where she worked as a pedagogue and choreographer. She was a two-time scholarship recipient of the British Council and attended the School of Contemporary Dance in London with famous pedagogues, former members of the Martha Graham troupe: Jane Dudley, Noemi Lapzeson. Antony van Last, Juliet Fischer. At the same time, she perfected the modern playing technique of Merce Cunningham and the jazz technique of Matt Mattox. She used her dancing education with success in both pedagogical and choreographic work. She worked as a professor of modern ballet for many years at the "Lujo Davicho" Ballet School. She made an extraordinary effort and knowledge to make modern ballet a truly equal subject in the school education of future ballet artists, which modern theater expressly requires. Her students achieved significant success at trainings for young ballet artists in Varna, Novi Sad, Lausanne and Treviso. Striving to create her own dance technique of modern dance direction, Katarina Stojkov-Slijepčević synthesizes the most useful elements of traditional classical ballet, contemporary dance and jazz dance in her work with students. In this way, along with significant pedagogical experience, she enables them to be able to accept and interpret other types of contemporary artistic dance, which is required by the modern dance scene both in Serbia and in the world. She formed several troupes of contemporary dance from which extremely successful dancers and choreographers came: Zoran Marković, Leo Mujić, Isidora Stanišić, Dalija Aćin Thelander, Bojana Mladenović, Danica Arapović, Anđelija Todorović, Miloš Isailović, Milica Pisić, Ana Ignjatović and others.

She is the author of numerous dance miniatures, most often performed on television and in concerts of the "Lujo Davio" Ballet School. At the first Grand Prix Dance Festival in Nimes, France, she represented the former Yugoslavia with the video dance "Screams" and entered the circle of the best. She devised, choreographed and rehearsed full-length plays: Paradise Lost (Atelier 212, 1993), Carnival of Folly (Bitef Theater, 1994), Circle Around the Cactus (Bitef Theater, 1995), Sonnets (KPGT, 1997), Playlists of Souls (National Theater 2001, Bitef Theater 2002), The Little Prince (Bitef Theater, 2007), Waves (Bitef Theatre, 2010) Victims of Illusions (Bitef Theatre, 2014) Adadjo, Tomaso Albinoni, National Theatre, 2017.
