The action of this choreographic essay unfolds within a real space, where objects possess multilayered meanings—serving as scenographic elements, props, symbols, and metaphors through which Gordana Dean constructs a dialogue-based movement expression. Movements are transformed into symbols, and symbols into metaphors that lead toward the fundamental question of self-awareness and the recognition of true values through which, and within which, human existence is sustained in all its complexity and ambiguity.
From a choreographic perspective, Gordana Dean explores the nature of movement and develops a vocabulary through which she impressively visualizes the emotional states of consciousness, embodied in the figure of the woman, and of Being—the unconscious—through the extraordinary and expressive interpretation of Tamara Anastasova.
