Jakša Filipovac is a contemporary dancer and performer based in Belgrade, born in Obrenovac. He received his formal education at the Ballet High School and the Institute for Dance in Belgrade, developing a movement background that bridges ballet, contemporary dance, and physical theatre. As a member of Bitef Dance Company, he performed in notable productions such as Životinjska farma, Zidanje Skadra, Skenderbeg, and Lost Landscapes, collaborating with key Serbian choreographers, like: Miloš Isailović, Dunja Jocić, Isidora Stanišić, Aleksandar Ilić, Igor Koruga, and others, performing across the regional contemporary dance scene. Together with Tamara Pjević, he co-created the duet Alpha Girls, exploring identity, power dynamics, and embodied resistance.

In addition to his artistic work on stage, Filipovac has developed a broad presence in the commercial and television industry, dancing and choreographing for numerous TV shows, music productions, and entertainment formats. This crossover between contemporary dance and commercial platforms reflects his versatile approach to performance and movement storytelling.

He continues to build his practice through interdisciplinary collaborations, choreographic authorship, and ongoing research in dance.
