Ivana Kocevska is a dancer, choreographer and has an MA in ballet pedagogy. She studied at the National school for music and ballet “Ilija Nikolovski- Luj” in Skopje, Macedonia. In 2001 she became a part of the Macedonian national opera and ballet ensemble.
She danced as a soloist and had main roles in the ballets such as Nutcracker, Swan lake, Sleeping beauty, Don Quixote, Napoli, Samson and Dalilah, Carmen, Gizelle, Serenade, Concerto Barocco, Esmeralda, Sheherazade, Carmina Burana, Conservatory (Bournonville), La Sylphide, Les Sylphides, Agony of a heartbeat (Galili) and many others.
She worked as soloist with the Slovenian national ballet in Ljubljana and in Wuerzburg on invitation by Anna Vita and was for one year with the Ukrainian National ballet as an apprentice where she danced the role of Myrtha in the ballet "Giselle".
She choreographed performances in the field of alternative theater and collaborated with many performance artists. Her first big production “Metamorphosis” premiered on the 3rd of July 2018 on the main stage of the National ballet with the support of the Ministry of culture of Macedonia. Then she created her next performance entitled "KINTSUGI - the art of precious scars" where she incorporated visual mapping with dance and electronic music which was supported by the Goethe institute in Skopje.
