Synopsis

The ballet Dubrovnik Legend, as a musical expression, represents a Neo-Romantic style. According to the composer Brangolica, this is the first time in his musical career that he has created a ballet of this kind.

Brangolica states that the musical form corresponds to the structure of classical ballet; sonically, it evokes the archaic character of the Mediterranean region, while at the same time incorporating contemporary orchestration and harmonic solutions.
